Inset Elect replaces training days as a means of delivering short, focused training
sessions throughout the year.
Staff who run sessions receive an allowance of 2 hours to include preparation time.
Some sessions are compulsory, if they are considered key to the target audience.
Participation in linked sessions which address issues from the school’s recent Ofsted
report is required of all staff
Sessions for new staff and trainees are always included, and these can be attended
by anyone.
Anyone can attend any sessions, regardless of the intended audience. Membership of
linked sessions is restricted to those who sign up for them. Attendance at all 3
sessions is essential.
Sessions are also open to members of partner schools and organisations, where appropriate.
Sessions are chosen in advance from the published programme, but last minute attendees
are always welcome, except to linked sessions.
Reminders are issued for each session, at the beginning of each week.
